Brendan and Gabrielle (England)

Gabrielle and I spent a very enjoyable 4 days at Milk Harbour late July and will definitely come again.  The location is stunning and there are many interesting places to visit not only in Sligo but also Leitrim and Donegal which are close by.

During our stay, we visited North Point Lighthouse in Donegal stopping at Cindy’s to look at her individually crafted woven throws, wall coverings, waistcoats and more. We also hiked for a couple of hours on a forest walk half way up Benbulben Mountain and another day hiked up to see the Devil’s Chimney as well as Clencar Waterfall and all very enjoyable.

Sligo Town is quite delightful and there a number of art galleries to see including the wonderful Niland collection at the Model art gallery with works by several 19th and 20th century artists connected to Ireland and/or Sligo. There is so much more that we want to come back to see.

Geraldine and Steve are excellent hosts and our stay was very comfortable.
