It’s good to see Sligo getting the attention it deserves in the news recently We were delighted to note the wonderful Channel 5 programme Adrian Dunbar’s Coastal Ireland  gave a compelling and heartfelt description of Sligo and all its glories. Worth checking on You Tube: many of the views can be seen from our house and locatiosn are a very short drive away!

Meanwhile, there is a long-term plan to promote Sligo as a UNESCO Heritage area with a focus on the sheer number and variety of Neolithic Tombs. An example is the Creevykeel Court Tomb located just 4 km north of Milk Harbour in Cliffoney Village: it seems to be noted as one of the oldest in Ireland.
